Job Description Job Description Plant Controller Position Overview The Controller is responsible for leading all financial operations for the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and effective cost management. This role partners closely with senior leadership and provides financial insights that support strategic decision making and operational growth. The ideal candidate is hands on, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee all financial reporting activities, including monthly close, financial statements, and variance analysis. Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing clear financial projections and identifying risks and opportunities. Manage cost accounting functions, including manufacturing absorption rates and cost analysis for quoting and financial performance. Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including profitability, ROI, and cost benefit analysis. Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure timely and accurate completion. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement. Partner with senior leadership to support strategic planning and operational initiatives. Utilize financial systems, including ECI M1 (preferred), to support reporting, analysis, and process improvements. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred. 5 years of financial management experience, ideally within a manufacturing or factory environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and key performance metrics. Experience with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing absorption. Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office; ECI M1 experience is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including variance analysis and forecasting. Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and manage a high performing team. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Positive, proactive mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.
