Job Description:
Senior Manager, Tax Planning - Chicago, IL Function Identify,
develop, model, and implement tax planning opportunities and
support corporate mergers and acquisitions and transactions.
Responsibilities: Identify, evaluate, and implement US federal tax
planning initiatives that align with the company’s business,
financial and risk objectives Become a critical resource and
develop technical expertise on federal tax credit programs Research
and evaluate tax implications of M&A transactions and internal
restructurings and coordinate with legal counsel Collaborate with
the tax reporting, provision and controversy teams on transactions
and planning initiatives. Skills: Strong technical knowledge of
U.S. federal corporate income tax law; strong technical knowledge
of Inflation Reduction Act tax credits a plus Strong analytical and
problem solving skills, including ability to research and resolve
complex tax issues Strong modeling skills to quantify material
aspects of complex transactions Proven ability to manage and
implement complex projects across multiple internal and external
stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills with
ability to concisely present technical positions, risks, etc to
management Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree CPA or Juris
Doctor 8 years of tax experience with public companies, national
accounting firms, or national law firms Experience in modeling and
structuring complex transactions General knowledge of income tax
