Senior Tax Manager Chicago, IL Our client, a respected multinational organization, is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead key aspects of its global income tax accounting and reporting function. This role will be instrumental in overseeing ASC 740 provision and disclosure matters, supporting strategic business initiatives, and helping advance a modern, well-run tax function. What You’ll Do Lead the preparation and review of the global income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 and support related quarterly and annual SEC disclosures Oversee analysis of the company’s effective tax rate, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and uncertain tax positions Prepare and present tax analyses, cash tax forecasts, and key insights to leadership and business partners Partner closely with finance, legal, and business leaders on acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic initiatives Support the interpretation and implementation of new tax laws, regulations, and accounting guidance Help strengthen and enhance the tax function through automation, process improvements, and scalable best practices Ensure strong adherence to SOX controls and overall tax reporting governance What They’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required Active CPA required; Master’s in Tax or Accounting preferred 10 years of relevant tax experience, ideally combining public accounting and/or large multinational corporate tax experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 740, and ASC 805 Experience managing complex tax accounting matters, multiple priorities, and cross-functional coordination Proven ability to lead, mentor, or influence others within a collaborative environment Experience with OneSource, Oracle ERP, and tax research tools such as Bloomberg, CCH, or Checkpoint is a plus Why This Role Stands Out Broad exposure to global tax accounting and reporting Opportunity to support high-visibility initiatives including acquisitions and integration activity Chance to make an impact through process improvement and automation Highly collaborative role with exposure across finance, legal, and leadership teams Benefits: Health/Dental/Vision Insurance Paid Time Off 401k with Generous Company Match Company Paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability Short-Term Disability Employee Assistance Program Tuition Reimbursement Employee Discounts
