Job Description Job Description Metro Services is looking to hire Industrial Pipefitters for a Manufacturing company in Kokomo, IN. This is a temp-to-hire position. Apply Now! Duties for this position include: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings to determine layout and installation procedures Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using hand and power tools Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials Install and maintain high- and low-pressure piping systems for water, steam, air, and chemical lines Fit and assemble pipe components, valves, and supports using welding or mechanical methods Conduct pressure tests and inspect systems for leaks or defects Maintain and repair existing piping and welded systems Follow safety procedures and comply with all OSHA regulations and plant safety standards Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams Must live within a 60-mile radius of Kokomo, IN to be considered. Compensation (USD): $40.00/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. OT when needed Successful candidates must meet the following requirements: 3 years of experience as an industrial pipefitter with welding experience Must have a Journeyman certification Must live within a 60-mile radius of Kokomo, IN to be considered. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques Ability to read and interpret piping and welding blueprints Experience working with various pipe materials (carbon steel, stainless, copper, etc.) Welding certification is preferred but not required Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus Physically able to lift, bend, climb, and work in tight or elevated spaces WHY APPLY FOR A JOB AT METRO SERVICES?
