(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. An opportunity is available for skilled Sign Language
Interpreters to provide essential communication support within a
K-12 educational setting in Harvey, LA. This contract position
offers a full-time schedule, working 35 hours per week aligned with
the school calendar, Monday through Friday. The role focuses on
delivering high-quality interpretation services to support students
in their educational journey. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate
clear and accurate sign language interpretation between students,
educators, and other school staff. Support a diverse caseload
across multiple schools within the district. Collaborate with
teachers and support staff to enhance student engagement and
accessibility. Maintain professional standards in communication and
confidentiality. Adhere to school policies and state educational
requirements. Qualifications: Active Louisiana Department of
Education certification in Sign Language Interpreting. Proven
experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably
within K-12 educational environments. Strong understanding of
educational terminology and student needs in school settings.
Ability to work full-time hours, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch
break. Flexibility and adaptability to manage assignments across
different schools as required. Location:Harvey, Louisiana, serving
schools in the surrounding New Orleans area. Benefits: Contract
duration through the current school year, ending in May 2026.
