Job Description:
Description:Polygon Company is seeking a Quality Engineer to
support Development and New Production Introduction (NPI) processes
through prints and document review, measuring system evaluation,
implementation of quality controls and development of inspection
plans. This successful candidate will also have a strong
responsibility to oversee the initiation and development of
standards & methods for inspection, testing and the evaluation of
products. Reporting to the Director of Quality, having the ability
to communicate proven data analysis to executive leadership and
functional internal groups and teams is critical for success in
this role. Additional duties of the Quality Engineer will include
but not be limited to the following: Support and manage product
approval processes (PPAP and FAI).Develop and analyze statistical
data to identify product issues and improvement opportunities.Lead
Material Review Board (MRB) efforts and track nonconforming
material.Lead complaint investigations. To include communicating
with Customers and working with cross functional teams.Lead
corrective actions and quality improvement activities.Assist in the
performance the internal quality system auditing.PM21Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, the individuals must be qualified
of the knowledge, skill and ability listed below: College degree is
preferred but not required (education can be supplemented by having
a minimum of 3 years of quality engineer experience). Knowledge of
Lean Manufacturing Principles.Experience with ISO 9001 required,
and experience with advanced quality management systems such as
AS9100 or IATF 16489 preferred. Experience with APQP and tools such
as FMEA and Control Plans are a bonus.Proven track record of
successful Problem Solving. Knowledge of Corrective Action
Processes such as 8D and Six Sigma.Proven data analysis capability.
Knowledge of statistical analysis and experience with software such
as Minitab.Ability to read/understand measuring devices such as
micrometers, calipers, optical comparator. Knowledge of advanced
measuring devices such as CMM and vision systems are a
bonus.Ability to understand and develop sequenced
instructions.Ability to train others.Ability to work with
cross-functional internal groups and teams.Demonstrate the ability
to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Desire to
grow professionally and assume more responsibility.Microsoft Office
