We have an opening for a Sr Advanced Quality Engineer at our facility in South Bend, IL. As a Sr Advanced Quality Engineer in South Bend, IN your expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements. You will drive process initiatives that ensures compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance and, product quality. Solve problems where analysis of a situation is required to meet the requirements of the customer
Uses problem analysis to proactively identify quality process solutions
Provide analysis of data in support of quality and process improvements Key Responsibilities

• Process improvement activities using statistical techniques and a "Kaizen" approach.
• APQP for new and existing products.
• AS9100 system maintenance and improvement.
• Position will work closely with both customers, suppliers, and shop floor to resolve internal and external quality issues.
• Facilitating and leading change through team-based initiatives.
• Development and maintenance of company and department metrics.
• Calibration and metrology activities.
• Production part approval process and part submission.
• Liaison between Quality Department and the rest of the business.
• Employee training activities.
• Suspend production to eliminate or stop the manufacture of suspect parts. (Notify Supervisor and / or Quality Department.)YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of manufacturing industry experience WE VALUE
    • Six Sigma Methodology.
    • Use of statistical applications to achieve results.
    • Kaizen and Continuous Improvement.
    • Experience with AS9100 Quality Systems.
    • APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
    • Statistical Process Control, SPC
    • Good working knowledge of Metrology and Calibration.
    • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Strong PC skills
    • Good communication and presentation skills.
    • Hands on, not afraid to get involved on the shop floor.
    • Self-starter, ability to drive change.
    • CQE, CQA, Six Sigma Green belt or Black belt certification is a plus.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an attitude to escalate issues where there is a Quality concern.
    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced industry with a team player mindset
    • Demonstrated high level of accountability, integrity, and ethics in the performance of assigned tasks. Additional Information
