Job Description:

Dematic needs a Solution Design Project Engineer. The successful candidate will have relevant experience designing and applying large-scale material handling solutions. This includes leading design teams and managing Material Handling Equipment projects. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of mechanical design, machine controls, warehouse control software, and/or customer operations.

        The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000 - $140,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
        
        Tasks and Qualifications:
        
        What You Will Do in This Role:
        
        
        • Review requirements from the customer/sales team and closely collaborate with relevant internal/external stakeholders to generate executable system concepts
        • Lead team members, create 3D models, and generate proposal drawings to achieve concept freeze
        • Produce material lists and project scope of work summaries.
        • Submit quote requests and validate vendor quotes in conjunction with procurement teams
        • Apply standard subsystems , designs, and modules to solutions where appropriate
        • I dentify relevant project risks and assist with the generation of mitigat ion strategies
        • Establish priorities, and promote effective interaction between department
        • Lead technical review and pricing reviews
        • Create cost breakouts and bridging as required
        • Responsible for all project engineering efforts for assigned projects
        • C apable of recognizing and understanding when to apply standard subsystems and modules
        • Able to apply value engineering principles to optimize the effectiveness of the system where possible
        • Accountable for technical, cost, and contracting aspects of projects and serves as a key contact for intra-company departments and vendors
        • Thoroughly understand customer RFPs, specifications, and requirements

          • 5+ years of experience in the field: Mechatronic Engineering, Systems Engineering , Application Engineerin g, Industrial Engineering, etc.
