Job Description:
At BP, a leader in global energy solutions, we are seeking a
skilled Condition Monitoring Technician to join our Engineering,
Maintenance & Asset Management team. This role is critical in
driving our commitment to sustainable energy practices by ensuring
the reliability and optimal functioning of our assets. As a
Condition Monitoring Technician, you will be responsible for the
regular assessment of equipment condition, utilizing advanced
diagnostic technologies to predict equipment failures and guide
preventative maintenance strategies, supporting BP's mission
towards innovative and sustainable energy solutions. Implement
vibration, thermal, and acoustic monitoring tools and techniques to
assess machine conditions. Analyze data collected from monitoring
equipment to identify trends that predict equipment failure and
performance degradation. Collaborate with maintenance teams to
develop or modify maintenance schedules based on condition
monitoring findings. Report on system health and recommend actions
to improve reliability and reduce downtime. Keep abreast of latest
developments in condition monitoring technologies and
sustainability practices. Adhere to safety standards and regulatory
compliance requirements at all times. Proficient in using
diagnostic equipment and tools like vibration analyzers and
infrared cameras. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret
complex data sets. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Capable of working independently and making informed
decisions. Technical proficiency in computer systems and software
relevant to data analysis and reporting. Medical Insurance Life
Insurance Health Insurance Certification in Vibration Analysis
(Category II or higher from the Vibration Institute or equivalent).
Thermography certification is preferred but not required.
