JOB TITLE: Branch President

REPORTS TO:Chief Sales Officer

EXEMPT/NON: Exempt

DIVISION: Executive

GENERAL DESCRIPTION - Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for sales production in the Branch Office. The Branch President is responsible for building and maintaining a high-performance Sales Team that meets or exceeds all short-term and long-term sales goals in accordance with the overall Horton growth and marketing strategy, vision and values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

-- Leading, managing and willing to be held accountable for branch office sales and growth goals

-- Create a sales business plan for branch office documenting the road map, resources, timeline and budget required to achieve annual sales and client retention goals that incorporates regular market assessments

-- Recruit and mentor Sales Executives ensuring sales plan metrics and sales activities are designed to create accountability and achievement

-- Provide hands-on leadership and support to the sales team, building a sales culture of meeting sales goals on a consistent basis and a demonstration of your leadership as determined by your branch sales team and evident in your production achievement

-- Increase cross-selling effectiveness between Property& Casualty, Benefits, Personal Lines and Horton Consulting Services and provides opportunity oversight

-- Support and attend producer sales calls and prospect development and builds key insurer relationships at the branch and regional level

-- Set an example for producers by consistently generating quality sales leads and following the corporate sales process

-- Work with the Marketing Team in developing strategies to create momentum in new markets and champion new initiatives while sharing ownership with each individual producer's sales and marketing plan

-- Build relationships at multiple levels to work cross organizationally toward solutions and promote corporate harmony

-- Promote a positive office environment and support organizational change and continuous improvement including translating corporate messaging to meaningful and/or action-driven comprehension for sales staff

-- Participate in the community as an engaged leader and serves as an exemplary representative for the company at all functions

-- Responsible for building and maintaining strong big client relationships

-- Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS& ABILITIES

-- Bachelor's Degree is required

-- Appropriate Insurance Licenses must be maintained

-- Minimum of 10 years insurance sales experience with 3-5 years of sales management experience

-- Consistent accomplishment of success in creating and managing a pipeline of opportunities with closing sales to meet or exceed sales goals

-- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and motivation to Sales Team

-- Keen business acumen and proven management abilities

-- In-depth knowledge of insurance sales and operations

-- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

-- Strong decision making skills with the ability to prioritize objectives and goals

-- Excellent leadership, consensus building and change management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to:

-- Perform work on a computer for extended periods of time

-- Sit/stand for extended periods of time in work area

-- Grasp objects using your fingers (fine motor skills)

-- Communicate and speak in a clear, concise and professional manner both in person and on the telephone.

-- Travel by air or ground transportation as required in performing job duties.

-- Be able to lift and carry objects that weigh a minimum of 40 pounds
