Eaton's Vehicle Group division has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager to join our high performing Plant Leadership team. This position is based at our South Bend, IN facility. Position Overview : As a key member of the South Bend Leadership Team, the Human Resources Manager will fulfill leadership duties and provide input for strategy, direction, and continuous improvement for the plant. The HR Manager is responsible for overall leadership of the human resources function in support of all operations and support functions within the facility. This includes driving the Strategic HR Plan at the operational level and defining and implementing strategic initiatives to ensure our continued success. Essential Responsibilities : Drive performance and talent management processes within the facility, including annual performance cycles through TalentHub and APEX for Manufacturing, performance calibration, talent reviews, organizational capability assessment, and succession planning. Design and deliver local HR practices that create and maintain the desired culture. Prepare the workforce for change. Use assessment tools and metrics to diagnose organizational issues. Identify the learning, training, and development needs of the organization and deploy effective training plans. Build managers' leadership capability. Use coaching skills to influence behavior and business decisions to be consistent with the values and ethical standards. Perform investigations and take appropriate corrective actions. Ensure effective deployment of performance management systems and coach managers on the process. Identify solutions considering legal implications when making decisions QualificationsBasic Qualifications : BS or BA from an accredited institution Requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources Minimum two (2) years' experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications : Master's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or Business Administration from an accredited institution Supervisory experience Six (6) years Human Resources experience Position Criteria : Strong ethics, values, and the ability to influence and impact others' decision making Experience monitoring plant compliance with state and federal laws Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
