Location inDesc: South Bend - Bendix Dr. Full Time Part Time: Full-Time Shift: Typically scheduled at Center during the day but some evenings may be necessary. Description: Our mission is to Protect, Educate and Inspire our students to become confident, curious, life-long learners by providing a safe learning environment and stimulating educational experiences from caring, qualified teachers. If you share this mission, then we want you on our team! The Center Director is responsible for the overall success of the Center operations and staff under their oversight. This position reports to an Area Director.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in the enrollment of new students
  • Addresses parent questions and concerns
  • Gives tours of the center
  • Designs and distributes relevant center communications
  • Assists in Accounts Receivable management
  • Assists in controlling monthly expenses
  • Responsible for hiring, training and developing staff
  • Supports the teaching staff and is available to assist or substitute in a classroom
  • Assists with proper staff coverage, including staff and substitute scheduling
  • Participates in the Call-In list for teachers
  • Transports children as needed
  • Maintains center records
  • Maintains the Front Office areas and orders office supplies
  • Performs oversight activities, such as reviewing cleaning checklists, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintains Paths to Quality Level 4
  • Maintains NECPA Accreditation
  • Maintains Indiana Licensing Standards

QUALIFICATIONS
    • Must meet all state requirements for child care workers, including annual in service hours, medical examinations, and can pass a background check and drug test
    • College degree in Early Childhood Education or related
    • Additional coursework in a related field or a Master's degree preferred
    • Three years of progressive and relevant experience
    • Knowledge and understanding of all current state and local regulations relating to child care facilities
    • Current Child/Infant CPR and First Aid certifications
    • Experience in supervising and managing staff
    • Highly professional and dependable
    • Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
    • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
    • Able to interact with students of all ages and skill levels
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Able to stand on your feet for long periods of time, at least 95% of the day and must be physically able to stoop, bend as well as lift up to 30 pounds BENEFITS
