OverviewMcDonald's Global Cyber Security is looking for a highly
motivated, diligent, and skilled Manager to join the Vulnerability
Management team. The Manager - Vulnerability Management Governance
is a key member of the Vulnerability Management team and works with
internal and external groups globally to identify and drive
remediation of information security risks. In this role, you will
develop new Cybersecurity services and enhancing existing services
to meet the increasing needs for protecting our users, devices,
networks, applications, and data through vulnerability management.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience analyzing
vulnerabilities to determine applicability and impact, reporting
vulnerability and risk information to senior leadership, and
leading prioritization and remediation strategies in an enterprise
environment.Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Maintain awareness of critical vulnerabilities and emerging
threats that may impact McDonald's and take appropriate action when
necessary to incorporate these into the Vulnerability Management
program.
- Develop processes and business relationships for the effective
and timely remediation of vulnerabilities in McDonald's environment
to include the identification, assessment and prioritization,
remediation and mitigation, verification, monitoring, reporting and
escalation of vulnerabilities.
- Develop a program that will establish and maintain key
stakeholder relationships and communications to ensure agreed to
SLA's are understood and exceptions escalated as required.
- Utilize vulnerability management infrastructure that includes
scanners, sensors, and agent configurations, to help drive the
program. (Tenable/Nessus, Security Center, Wiz, ServiceNow and RBVM
for vulnerability management.)
- Serve as a Vulnerability Management Program Subject Matter
Expert (SME)
- Develop and manage a prioritization algorithm that will focus
McDonald's remediation efforts on what matters most using
McDonald's business (eg. asset criticality), external industry
context (eg. CVSS, EPSS), and asset context (eg. Internet
accessible)
- Measure and monitor remediation performance to help identify
opportunities to enhance remediation efforts, support our
remediation stakeholders, and bring visibility to senior leadership
to communicate risk to the business.
- Create, modify, and mature vulnerability management reports and
metrics to drive remediation efforts throughout McDonald's
environments.
- Continuously improve metrics in the effort to identify coverage
gaps, remediation performance issues, and other metrics that
demonstrate the health and effectiveness of vulnerability
management program using tools such as Tableau, Power BI,
ServiceNow or Microsoft Office 365 tooling.
- Continuously work to develop insights that lead to short- term
and long-term improvements across the various phases of an
Enterprise Vulnerability Management Program Framework.
- Review and create technical and/or process documentation,
reports, and policies used to identify good baseline security
controls.
- Partner with other security practitioners, and technology
leaders to share best practices and insights.
- Assist with cybersecurity risk assessments, IT audits and/or
vulnerability assessments
- Ensure timely communication and project updates through
designated remote productivity platforms.
- Participate in virtual meetings and contribute to discussions
using video conferencing software.
- Ability to support 24 x 7 x 365 stakeholdersQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a
related field
- 5+ years of experience in information security technologies,
such as vulnerability management, security operations, regulatory
compliance or audit, security engineering or similar experience.

- 3+ years of experience with vulnerability management
technology, process, and programs. (Required)
- Experience with vulnerability management tools, such as
Tenable, Wiz, Avalor, Nucleus, etc. (Required)
- Experience with analyzing output from vulnerability management
tools and security penetration tests for the purposes of
prioritizing remediation efforts. (Required)
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as:
NIST, PCI DSS, ISO, etc. (Required)
- Information security certifications such as Security+,
Network+, CCNA Security, GSEC, GCIA, GCFA, GPEN,
CEH.Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrate exemplary leadership, and interpersonal verbal and
written communication skills
- Ability to work and act as part of a cohesive team
- Proficiency in using remote productivity tools (e.g., Slack,
Microsoft Teams, WebEx) for communication and project
management.
- Ability to manage people and vendors to deliver a successful
Vulnerability Management program
- Expert knowledge of cybersecurity Vulnerability Management
techniques, as applied to infrastructure, cloud, data,
applications, platforms, operating systems and networks
- Ability to understand Common Vulnerability and Exposure (CVE)
information and determine significance to McDonald's
- Organized, process-oriented and able to manage multiple
concurrent work streams
- Ability to work within tight timeframes and a fast-paced
environment with changing priorities
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and standards relevant to the
