Lutheran Health Network in Warsaw, IN is seeking Neurology Nurse
Practitioner / Physician Assistant to join our established
Neurology practice.
- Primary care to patients includes cerebrovascular disease such
as stroke, central nervous system, peripheral nervous system,
headache disorders, movement disorders, and seizures provided under
supervision of clinic Physician.
Details
- Prefer 1-2 years of neurology experience; however willing to
train
- Full time position; M-F
- Assist with On Calls as required
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Creative problem solver/critical thinker.
- Valid Indiana State Nursing License Master's Degree in Nursing
(Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) Board Certified
Key Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations/examinations and problem identification of
patient. Order tests such as EMG, EEG, labs and CNS diagnostic
imaging. Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from
normal. Make tentative diagnoses and decisions about management and
treatment of patient. Partner with physician regarding proposed
plan of care and formulates with patient involvement. Manages
therapeutic regime and modify plan if necessary. Instruct/counsel
patient on prescribed medications and health maintenance. Obtain,
compile and record patient medical data electronically (Cerner),
including health history, progress notes and results of physical
exams, findings.
