*VCA Cat Hospital of Chicago* is seeking a *Veterinary Technician Supervisor* to inspire and guide our dedicated team in delivering exceptional care to our feline patients!*About the Role:*As a *Veterinary Technician Supervisor*, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive hospital culture, ensuring smooth daily operations, and mentoring our talented team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:* Overseeing daily workflow on the hospital floor* Cultivating an *inclusive and collaborative* work environment* Assisting in the *interviewing and hiring* process for new team members* Managing *technician scheduling* and assisting with staffing coverage as needed* Supporting the *growth and development* of our technical team through training and mentorship* Providing hands-on opportunities for staff to enhance their skills* Ensuring *compliance with VCA protocols, guidelines, and best practices** Collaborating with hospital leadership to drive hospital success* Addressing and resolving workplace conflicts professionally and constructively*Qualifications:** Minimum *35 years of clinical experience*, preferably in a feline-focused or small animal hospital.* Prior *leadership or supervisory experience* in a veterinary setting.* Strong knowledge of *feline medicine*, including restraint, behavior, and common conditions.* Proficient in *anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, dentistry*, and *phlebotomy*specific to feline patients.*Why Join Us?*At *VCA Cat Hospital of Chicago*, we are a *feline-exclusive, AAHA-accredited* practice located in the heart of *Irving Park*.
