Position Overview: We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible OB Hospitalist to provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care in a dynamic and supportive environment. This role is ideal for physicians who thrive in a collaborative setting and are passionate about improving maternal and neonatal outcomes. What You'll Do: Provide 24-hour OB Hospitalist coverage, including OB triage, admissions, inpatient management, and deliveries Work alongside a highly skilled team of neonatologists, maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists, and certified nurse midwives (CNMs) Engage with Obstetrix MFM physicians to manage high-risk antepartum and intrapartum patients Coordinate care with Pediatrix neonatologists to ensure optimal neonatal outcomes Participate in teaching activities, clinical education, and mentorship Contribute to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with Pediatrix and hospital research teams Program Highlights: Level III NICU and Level III Perinatal Center Level II Trauma Center, MedFlight services, and a dedicated Maternal OB Transport Team 10 modern birthing suites Average of 3 deliveries per 24-hour shift and approximately 2,000 annual deliveries Strong collaboration with a robust CNM practice of 7 providers Why Memorial Hospital & South Bend?
