Monitor certification NRP certification CPR/BLS Description: The
unit is a Family Birth Center with 19 beds. There are 36 staff
members in the unit. The day shift consists of all registered
nurses, with OB tech/CST support. The night shift also consists of
all registered nurses, with OB tech/CST support. Patient ratios are
acuity-based and follow IDPH guidelines. Essential equipment
includes OBIX, EFM, and EMR - Epic. Ideal candidates should have
knowledge of labor patients, antenatal patients, and fetal monitor
interpretation. Experience with vaginal exams, OB medications, and
C-section care is necessary. Post-recovery and circulating duties
experience are also preferred. Outpatient fetal monitor testing
knowledge is advantageous. The best-fit personality is a team
player with strong communication skills. Candidates must be able to
remain calm and work effectively in a busy environment. The dress
code is scrubs provided by the facility. The unit was newly built
and opened in Fall 2018. It holds a Level II designation with
extended capabilities and offers 24/7 in-house laborist support.
The facility is Baby-Friendly certified and is a Gold Safe Sleep
certified hospital. This unit provides a state-of-the-art
