Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Physical Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 18 months of acute care experience for a short-term hospital assignment, requiring BLS certification. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is based in a short-term acute care hospital setting - Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 5x8 hour shifts - At least one weekend shift required per month - Patient care occurs in an acute care environment with floating to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed - Uses Cerner EMR; experience with Cerner required - Scrub attire is royal blue with black shoes - Responsibilities include patient care in an acute care hospital and may involve floating to nearby affiliate hospitals - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Local candidates are accepted for this PT position - Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays - Auto-approval for up to 5 days of requested time off - Parking is provided at no cost - Any previous permanent or PRN staff must have a 12-month separation before consideration as a traveler /n /n Requirements/n - Minimum 18 months to 2 years of recent acute care physical therapy experience required - Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required - Graduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE required - Must have an active IN or Compact PT license by start date; pending license accepted if start is 2-4 weeks out - Experience with Cerner charting system required - License required if applicable /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-667822.
