competent in rhythm strip interpretation - Prefer competence in
initiating and maintaining cardiac drips such as dobutamine,
amiodarone, cardizem Description: This position is for a Registered
Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical. The RN will work on a night
shift with a 1:6 patient ratio. The RN will provide care for adult
and geriatric patients with various diagnoses including myocardial
infarction, arrhythmia, cerebrovascular accident, syncope, diabetic
ketoacidosis, congestive heart failure, post pacemaker, stent,
electrophysiology study, COVID-19, end-stage renal disease, and
pulmonary embolism. Special procedures required include telemetry
and management of dysrhythmias. The RN will collaborate with an
interdisciplinary team providing support from physical therapy,
respiratory services, and social services among others. Floating to
other units may be required. The RN must be open to working every
other weekend. The unit has a daily census of 40 patients and a
total of 46 beds available. Charting will be performed using a
specific electronic health record system. All applicants must
demonstrate the ability to work within the established patient care
protocols. Candidates must have the ability to interpret
dysrhythmias and manage medication drips. 5 Benefits of Travel
