working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in
Lafayette, Indiana, 47905! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 18 months in
a similar clinical setting required. License: Must have a valid
nursing license prior to start date. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS
required. Must-Have: Previous charge experience; telemetry skills;
competency in IV start; interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias. Description: This position requires a registered
nurse to work in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit. The nurse
will provide care for a diverse group of patients, primarily with
medical diagnoses such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, chest pain,
and small bowel obstruction. There will be a small surgical
caseload, with 1-3 post-surgical cases per day, including
procedures such as gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, colectomy,
mastectomy, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy. The patient-to-nurse
ratio is 1:6 during the day shift. Floating within the hospital or
to nearby affiliates is mandatory for all travelers. Candidates
must work every other weekend and two out of three major holidays.
An interdisciplinary support team is available, including physical
therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and rapid
response teams. The nursing staff will work closely with a variety
of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
This role is suitable for first-time travelers. Local candidates
are not accepted for this particular position. Inquiry into
