working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in
Harvey, Illinois, 60426! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:

Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year in an urban, Level I Trauma
Emergency Department preferred License: Active RN license required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; TNCC, CPI preferred
Must-Have: - Must have prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma
Emergency Department. - Teaching hospital experience preferred. -
First-timers are accepted. - Weekend requirement: Every other
weekend. - Floating may be required. Description: The role involves
rotating between multiple clinics in the area. Patient ratios are
1:4. Daily census is approximately 86 patients. The unit consists
of 16 rooms and 16 beds. The role requires management of patients
with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. Key responsibilities
include managing a variety of emergency conditions such as
cerebrovascular accidents, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injuries,
and more. Skills in interpreting dysrhythmias, obtaining 12 lead
EKGs, and maintaining IV access are essential. Nurses will manage
emergency medications and apply splints as necessary. Additional
responsibilities include handling abdominal pain, asthma, burns,
mental/behavioral health conditions, and drug overdoses. Isolation
precautions and triage are part of the daily tasks. The patient
population includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatric
patients, and geriatrics. Candidates are expected to demonstrate
competence in managing violent behavior and psychiatric holds. A
focus on quality patient care and teamwork is emphasized.
