Hourly Pay Range: $61.22 - $85.71 - The hourly pay rate offered
is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience,
among other factors. Position Highlights Position: Physician
Assistant (PA) – Critical Care/ICU Location: Skokie Hospital,
Skokie, IL Full Time/Part Time: Part-Time, 36 hours per week Hours:
Monday-Friday between 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 10: 00
p.m.; occasional 6:45 a.m. - 6:45 p.m.; rotating weekends and
holidays required. No overnights or call. Required Travel:
Evanston, Glenbrook, and Highland Park Hospitals. Travel to all
NorthShore sites during orientation and occasionally for
cross-coverage afterwards will be required. Outpatient, Inpatient,
Hybrid: Inpatient Job Description Exciting opportunity to join
Endeavor Health Department of Critical Care ! Under the direction
of the collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients.
Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders
imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets
results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen
and pre/post operative instructions. Maintains records and writes
progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows
patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and
hospital setting. Collaborates with physicians and the health care
team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Prescribes pharmacologic
and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates
evidence-based practice. Participates in the development,
implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the
specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families
across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and
teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Provide
comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and
prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of
acute and chronic illness and disease. Promotes wellness and
prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals,
families, and communities. Works autonomously and in
interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants. Positively
contributes to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient
experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and
evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of
the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and
procedures. Working with Intensivists & the multidisciplinary team,
the CCS PA provide comprehensive exams, differential diagnosis, &
prescribe treatments for the direct management of acute & chronic
illness/disease for critically ill medical & surgical patients in
the ICUs. The CCS PA work autonomously in interdisciplinary teams &
positively contribute to high quality care while maintaining safety
measures with a goal of optimal outcomes a desirable patient
experience. Qualifications: License: Physician Assistant (PA)
Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois
Controlled Substance License required Education: Graduate of an
accredited Physician Associate Master's Degree program
Certification: BLS/CPR & ACLS certification required Experience :
Prior PA experience preferred. Will consider PA with relevant
experience & training Special Knowledge and Skills Required:
Experienced in critical care patient management mandatory OR
completion of a one-year critical care residency required Preferred
