This opportunity is designed for an experienced NICU registered nurse ready to contribute to a high-acuity environment caring for micro preemies, premature infants from 24 weeks gestation, and medically complex newborns requiring respiratory support and surgical interventions. Schedule & Job Type Night Shift: 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM Contract Position Qualifications & Experience Active Illinois RN license required Minimum 2 years NICU nursing experience, specifically in a Level III NICU environment Experience caring for infants 24 weeks gestation and older, including micro preemies and high-acuity cases CPR and NRP certifications required Proficiency with Epic charting system is preferred Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates, including grower feeder infants and those requiring respiratory support or surgical care Monitor and manage high-acuity patients effectively Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes Potential to float to an adjacent campus if patient census requires Benefits & Perks Work in a respected Level III NICU with access to advanced equipment and resources Opportunity to build specialized skills in a supportive environment Every other weekend off to maintain work-life balance This contract role provides a rewarding clinical challenge within a respected healthcare setting.
