Location:Positioned in Oak Lawn, IL, this role provides the opportunity to work within a respected healthcare setting known for its commitment to patient-centered care and innovative practices. Key Responsibilities: Assist surgeons and operating room staff by preparing instruments and equipment for surgeries Ensure strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols Monitor and document all surgical materials used during procedures Respond to surgeon requests promptly and efficiently during operations Participate in call rotations during weekdays and weekends, providing critical support as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a smooth workflow throughout surgical cases Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an OR Technician (CST Tech) or in a similar surgical support role Current BLS certification is required Familiarity with EPIC EMR system preferred Ability to work 10-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, including on-call duties on weekdays and weekends Detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork skills Additional Details: Call requirements include weekday coverage from 5pm to 7am (approximately 6 calls) and weekend coverage totaling 60 hours Reporting location and parking information will be provided upon onboarding clearance Candidates may be required to complete orientation and education modules prior to the first day About Oak Lawn, IL:Oak Lawn is a vibrant suburban community offering convenient access to Chicago while maintaining a welcoming, neighborhood atmosphere.
