experience BLS required NIH certified Epic charting or similar EMR
experience Alaris IV pump experience Description: The purpose of
this unit profile is to provide an exceptional understanding of the
unit. This unit consists of 30 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1.
The unit is equipped with Alaris IV pumps, feeding pumps,
occasional chest tubes and PCA pumps. Communication devices used
include Vocera and Rovers with Epic capabilities. A medication
dispensing system used is Pyxis. The electronic medical record
system in use is Epic. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to
work in a fast-paced environment. A team-player attitude and
patient satisfaction should be a priority. Schedule flexibility is
required. Candidates must be willing to follow an assigned holiday
rotation. Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, stroke, CHF,
CKD, COPD, failure to thrive, alcohol withdrawal, sickle cell
crisis, cellulitis, and sepsis. Preferred experience includes CAPD
(peritoneal dialysis). Unacceptable attire includes facial
piercings, hoodies, and artificial nails in clinical areas.
