Title: Fairgrounds Coffee and Tea Shift Leader Overview: As a
Fairgrounds Coffee and Tea Shift Leader, you'll be at the forefront
of delivering exceptional coffee experiences and leading our team
to uphold the highest standards of quality and service. Your role
will involve supervising daily operations, providing guidance to
teammates, and ensuring that every customer enjoys a memorable
visit to our coffee house. You will be expected to act as the
leader in the store at all times. Responsibilities: Team
Leadership: Lead by example by demonstrating excellent customer
service and adherence to Fairgrounds Coffee and Tea standards.
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to foster
a positive and collaborative work environment. Delegate tasks
effectively and ensure that team members understand their
responsibilities during shifts. Deploy the team during shifts to
best serve our customers and organize all work that needs to be
completed during the day. Be prepared and knowledgeable regarding
safety and emergency procedures. Be ready to lead in these moments.
Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive warm, friendly,
and attentive service that exceeds their expectations. Lead the
floor during moments with customer inquiries, concerns, and
feedback promptly and professionally. Maintain a welcoming and
inviting atmosphere in the coffee house at all times. Shift
planning / assigning roles / deployment / following up on team
responsibilities to ensure all customers experience the hospitality
that we expect from our teams Operational Excellence: Oversee
opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth operations and
compliance with company policies. Check product quality, including
coffee brewing, espresso standards, taps, preparation techniques,
and presentation. Check product quality, including food prep,
preparation techniques, and presentation. Achieve in-stocks related
to inventory levels, including coffee beans, teas, and other
supplies, to prevent shortages and waste. Delegate and execute
equipment cleanliness, including grinders, espresso, taps, ovens
and other eq, to prevent downtime and equipment maintenance
expenses Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for
new hires to familiarize them with Fairgrounds' coffee and tea
offerings, brewing techniques, and customer service standards.
Conduct training sessions for new hires to familiarize them with
Fairgrounds' food offerings, prep ingredients, freshness and
plating standards. Provide ongoing training and coaching to team
members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Keep abreast of
industry trends and innovations in coffee and tea to continuously
improve service quality. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all
products meet Fairgrounds' quality standards and specifications.
Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance as needed
to ensure optimal functionality. Uphold food safety and hygiene
standards to maintain a clean and safe environment for customers
and staff. Feedback: Provide feedback to teammates in all areas
above in a professional and appropriate manner. Once feedback is
provided to teammates follow up with the GM to share insight and
learn.
