About the job Shengsheng drivers operate owned or leased vans or trucks with professionalism, utmost care and caution, adhering to all driving laws and Company rules and regulations. Our drivers work to grow the Shengsheng brand and build customer loyalty through excellent communication skills and customer service. Also adhering to safety guidelines and regulations while performing required warehouse duties. His or Her responsibilities shall not be limited to the followings Primary Duties And Responsibilities Collection/Delivery - Operates all assigned vehicles, single, tandem, or multi axle configurations, forklifts, etc. in accordance with established safety standards, proper vehicle operation techniques and specified time schedules. Acts as the face of Shengsheng for all shipment collections and deliveries and ensures that customer interactions are handled in a pro-active and professional manner at all times. Packing - Prepares and packages of all specialist packaging and temperature controlled consignments of various temperature zones ensuring all mandatory procedures are adhered to. Re-packs and/or re-ice shipments where necessary and ensuring all mandatory procedures are adhered to. Documentation - Ensures the correct documentation such as airway bill, delivery slips, and invoices are accurately completed and processed with the shipment. Be aware of the regulations covering the transportation, labelling and packaging of dangerous/hazardous substances and observe and comply with these regulations at all times. Completes necessary paperwork, including accurate logbooks, records of cargo and any other assigned record-keeping duties on a daily basis. Loading/Unloading - Loads and unloads containers, pallets, or materials and products, safely on trucks, trailers, or railcars by hand or by forklift truck. When loading, ensures loads are evenly balanced and distributed from the front of the trailer to the back and from side to side, as well checks axle weights and loads them in accordance with the DOT regulations. Warehouse - Performs all necessary duties to maintain a clean, tidy and safe warehouse, ensuring all materials are stored in the designated areas. Reports any shortfalls of packaging stock, to the appropriate person, to ensure minimal stock levels are always maintained. Ensures refridges, freezers and incubator/oven temperatures are checked and remain within prescribed parameters and maintain accurate records thereof. Vehicles - Performs and records 1) daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections, such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes, as well as 2) weekly maintenance checks and perform simple maintenance tasks as required. Follows the preventative maintenance program and maintains a clean vehicle (interior and exterior) to present a professional appearance. Requirements: Must-haves: Must hold a full, clean driving license Must have commercial van/truck driving experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Desirable Specialist Pharmaceutical collection/delivery experience TSA Qualified Forklift truck operator Key Competencies Proven ability to work well under time pressure Demonstrates a passion for customer service Ability to check and maintain accurate documentation
