Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice..Essential Functions:Comply with established job safety practices, and procedures as specified by company policies.Fabricates and repairs machine tools using machining operations and measuring instruments. Work from blueprints, sketches and/or discussions to create or modify tools (dies).Ensures that parts and tooling are in accordance with instructions, prints, and work orders.Proficient in the use of all shop equipment to add, maintain, and troubleshoot sensors in new and existing stamping dies.Set up and operates machine tools, lathes, and grinders.Maintain all assigned machines and equipment including preventative maintenance.Perform organizational duties including maintaining an organized and clean work area.Competencies:Must have extensive experience with in-die sensor installation and maintenance.Must be able to read blueprints.Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.CommunicationTime ManagementTeamworkSupervisory Responsibility:This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full time positionTravel:Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day.Preferred Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent Experience with die protection systems to include installing, maintaining and troubleshooting in-die sensors.Experience programming and using Wintriss press control systems. Additional Eligibility Qualifications:Journeymans cardMinimum five years of tool and die experienceWork Authorization/Security Clearance:Must be able to pass EVerify.
