Are you a Registered Repiratory Therapist looking for a new opportunity?  Join our friendly team at Ascension Borgess Hospital - Dowagiac, MI. 

FT Nights (7p-730a, 3 days week), every other weekend, rotating holidays. 36 hours per week

Provide evaluations of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

• Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.
• Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition.
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
• Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• One or more of the following:
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
  • Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care obtainedd prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Minimum 1 year RT experience preferred.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
