Description:You are primarily going to be setting up and operating a cell of 3-4 machining centers. Our cells will consist of 2 CNC lathes and either a broaching machine or a gear grinding machine. This is a high production position, so the majority of the time you are going to be making sure that their machines are up and running. You likely will need to be able to complete 1 set up per shift, but depending on the run time of each part you may go every other day without completing a set up. We have over 10 machining cells in the facility. A typical day is going to consist of you coming in and having a pass over meeting with the person from the previous shift. You then will make sure they have enough material that needs to be produced, if you don't, you need to go get more material to load up their machine. From there, you will be doing 1st piece inspection and inspection every hour on their parts. You will use primarily mics/cals/gages to do so. You will need to be able to read a print. You will likely need to be able to adjust feeds and speeds on the equipment to make sure it's running appropriately as well. We do all their measurements in microns, so if someone if familiar with that it's a plus.Additional Skills & Qualifications:-6 month CNC setup (prefer lathes, but will look at mills)-Ability to read prints-Quality toolsWould be Nice:-Previous experience with either FANUC or SIEMENs controllers-Previous G&M code experienceWhy Work Here:-Clean and climate controlled-Consistent, steady work
