team through our employee recognition programs Job Description:About the Role:As a Procurement Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to apply business and supply chain principles to support and improve category management.
You will work independently and as part of a team on assigned tasks and projects with assistance and support from the team.
You can expect hands on experiences working on engaging projects to improve and standardize processes as well as generate value to the organization.Locations Include: Oak Brook, IL/Northern Illinois/RemoteExamples of project work:Data analysis; can include market data and other inputs.Supplier performance KPIsRFP prep, execution, and evaluationCost savings initiativesExperience an intern will gain:
Project leadershipExposure to procuring raw materials, goods, and/or services for food manufacturingWorking with cross functional team members to understand how each role impacts the supply chainLearning process for strategic sourcingSAP and other ERP solutionsReporting and analyzing skills Qualifications:2-3 years of progress towards a Bachelor's degree (Junior or Senior) in Supply Chain Management or related field.Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrate a continuous improvement mindsetAbility to develop strong relationships and influence others through partnershipSelf-directed and motivated Your TreeHouse Foods Career is Just a Click Away!
