Description: PT Weekends - Saturday & Sunday (7a-3p) St. Paul's Assisted Living is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to ensure our facility's floors and common areas remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have experience in floor care, including cleaning, buffing, waxing, and carpet maintenance, and will play a key role in providing a welcoming and sanitary environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and polishing.
• Maintain carpets through vacuuming, spot cleaning, shampooing, and extraction as needed.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, extractors, and auto scrubbers.
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ensure hallways, dining areas, resident rooms, and common areas meet cleanliness and infection control standards.
• Assist housekeeping staff with general cleaning tasks as needed.
• Monitor and report any floor damage, safety hazards, or necessary repairs to the supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of floor care supplies and request replacements when necessary.
• Adhere to all facility policies, health and safety guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in floor care or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and operate heavy cleaning equipment for extended periods.
