Description:PACE of SW MI is seeking an experienced Full Time
Rehabilitative Technician to add to our Team!Job SummaryThe
Rehabilitative Technician performs participant care activities and
other tasks as assigned to assist the Physical and Occupational
therapists. Performs these activities in the day center, or in the
participant's home as directed by the Therapy Services Supervisor.
Works under the direct supervision of the Therapy Services
Supervisor or designee, but is independent in the application of
rehabilitative therapy knowledge and skills as delegated by
licensed therapists. Assists therapists with set up, performance of
or clean up related to: exercise modalities, daily living skills
and other participant care activities as assigned.Skills and
Knowledge-- - High level of autonomy is required while reporting to
the Therapy Services Supervisor-- - Excellent attention to
details-- - Excellent organizational skills-- - Excellent verbal
and written communication skills-- - Ability to work a flexible
work schedule-- - Able to work with the IDT setting-- - Knowledge
of physical, mental and social needs of frail older adults-- -
Exceptional interpersonal skills-- - Able to utilize computer
skills in the workplacePM20Requirements:SpecificationsEducation:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Experience: Minimum of
one (1) year of clinical experience as a personal care aide,
certified nursing assistant, or emergency medical
technician.Number/Type of Employees Supervised: NoneLicensure,
Registry, or Certification Required: Valid Driver's License with
good driving record, current CPR certification.Special Training:
Only acts within scope of practice. Meet a standardized set of
orientation and/or individual competencies for the specific
position description established by PACE of Southwest Michigan, and
approved by CMS before working independently.Immunizations: Be
medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all
immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant
contact.Specific Requirements and Considerations: May be subject to
exposure and handling of infectious waste, diseases, conditions, or
hazardous chemicals, etc., including potential exposure to TB,
AIDS, and/or Hepatitis B.Ages of Patients Rendered Care: Adult,
GeriatricKey Responsibilities-- - Assists therapists with treatment
in accordance with departmental, professional and productivity
standards-- - Prepares, cleans, and maintains the treatment area
and equipment according to departmental standards.-- - Cleans
therapy equipment regularly-- - Assists in participant escort-- -
Prepares participants for treatment in keeping with departmental
and professional standards-- - Attends to personal needs of
participants during treatment sessions-- - Sets up and assists
therapy with daily living/functional activities and therapeutic
activities as determined by the therapist, in the day center or in
participant homes as directed-- - Documents treatments/procedure,
observations, and participant activities on appropriate forms and
in the medical record as appropriate or directed-- - Performs
treatment in participant homes as directed (travel required)-- -
Reports changes in the participant's condition to the pertinent
Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) member-- - Catalog Durable Medical
Equipment (DME) as it arrives in the center, sending notification
to proper therapy staff-- - Active participation in Quality
Improvement Process (QIP)-- - Abides by all established PACE of
Southwest Michigan policies, rules, and regulations-- - All other
