If you are looking for a company that stands by its employees and treats them like family, we continue to seek members to be part of our team. *$1,500 Sign-on Bonus and Quarterly $500 Safety and Performance* JOB SUMMARY: Drive a tractor-trailer combination back and forth to the feed mill, while also will make deliveries to and from customers. Requires commercial driver's license (CDL A).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver feed from the feed mill to the grower farms and interact with farmers.
• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and check that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
• Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers.
• Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones, to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs.
• Couple or uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating fifth-wheel locks.
• Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes.
• Crank trailer landing gear up or down to safely secure vehicles.
• Load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles, and using other equipment as necessary.QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be 21 years old of age with 2 years of driving experience.
  • Must bring MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) from the license branch
  • Must pass a driving test
  • Employees must keep their license and DOT physical documents current and they must comply with random drug testing as is required by DOT
  • Must have good attendance
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions and demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards.
