Job Description:
Essential Job Responsibilities and DutiesPerform pre-donation
medical screening and/or assessment, which may include health
screening procedures such as blood pressure, temperature check,
pulse, capillary tube sample collection via finger stick,
hematocrit, and total protein determination via digital
refractometer, etc.Setup donors for the plasmapheresis procedure by
ensuring that the disposable soft goods are installed in the
automated plasmapheresis deviceDisconnect the donor when the
apheresis process is complete by ensuring collection targets have
been met and recorded appropriately, removing the needle from the
donor's arm, and providing donors with post-donation care
educationPerform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and periodic
quality calibrations activities and record resultsComplete cleaning
activities based on the required equipment activity scheduleConduct
pre-registration and registration verification for new
donorsMonitor equipment in all areas in which trained for alerts or
alarms and take appropriate action following standard operating
proceduresParticipate in donor flow management by assigning and
escorting donors to the donation areaThorough knowledge of
applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well
as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that
may be introduced in the futureMaintain an open line of
communication with ManagementMaintain a positive and professional
demeanor during all interactions with donors, fellow employees, and
vendorsAbility to accept performance feedback in a professional
mannerRegular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled
shifts and mandatory meetingsOther duties as
assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent
requiredMinimum one (1) year work experience preferredLicense or
certification where required by stateRequirementsGood oral and
written communication skillsProvide a pleasant customer service
experienceAbility to read and interpret directions and
instructionsAccurate data entryPerform basic math
calculationsReasoning ability to identify, interpret and apply
appropriate informationSchedule Needs1st Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00
PM2nd Shift: 12:30 PM - 8:00 PMPhysical RequirementsUse hands to
handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and
arms; and talk or hearFrequent leaning, bending, stooping,
crouching, and reaching above the shoulders and below the
kneeManual dexterity to perform all phases of donor
plasmapheresisAbility to stand for extended periods of time for up
to four (4) hours at a timeAbility to lift, tug, pull up to fifty
(50) poundsWork EnvironmentTypical work environment with moderate
noise levelMay be exposed to freezing temperatures for short
